Each year the Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation Art Prize is awarded to an artist currently working in California who shows great artistic merit. The Art Prize consists of a $10,000 unrestricted grant, as well as a flexible and responsive residency program and an on-site exhibition in Ojai. The artist is encouraged to develop an exhibition that engages with The Ojai Valley community.

The Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2021 awards. The Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation Art Prize will be awarded to Porfirio Gutiérrez, Mexican American, Zapotec textile artist, based in Ventura, California. The Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation Minnesota Art Prize will be awarded to Jovan C. Speller, Minneapolis based artist. Previous prize recipients include Tanya Aguiñiga (2020), Dyani White Hawk (Minnesota 2020), Kelly Akashi (2019), David Rathman (Minnesota 2019), Ry Rocklen (2018), and Rob Fischer (2017).
