Each year the Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation Art Prize is awarded to an artist currently working in California who shows great artistic merit. The Art Prize consists of a $10,000 unrestricted grant, as well as a flexible and responsive residency program and an on-site exhibition in Ojai. The artist is encouraged to develop an exhibition that engages with The Ojai Valley community.
Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2019 Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation Art Prize is Los Angeles based artist Kelly Akashi. Previous prize recipients include Ry Rocklen (2018) and Rob Fischer (2017).
